Dadirri is the practice of deep listening. Originating in Australia and now used worldwide, Dadirri emphasizes the importance of stillness and reflection. Through moments of silence, individuals are invited to develop a deeper understanding of themselves. This practice fosters connection between the mind, body, and soul, with the goal of learning to truly listen to oneself before extending that same presence and understanding to others.

What is Dadirri Therapy?

About Jenn

Jennifer is a licensed bilingual Marriage and Family Therapist based in New York. She is the founder of Dadirri Therapy, where she provides compassionate, culturally responsive care. Jennifer specializes in working with men navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma, and is committed to creating a safe, supportive space for emotional well-being and growth

From an early age, Jennifer knew that becoming a therapist was her calling. During her time at Iona University, where she earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, she discovered a deep passion for helping others understand, process, and navigate life’s challenges. Supporting individuals and families through their struggles confirmed her commitment to this meaningful work.

After graduate school, Jennifer decided to open a practice focused on supporting men of color in a therapeutic setting. She recognized that while mental health programs for these men existed, there were far too few spaces specifically designed to center their experiences and provide culturally responsive care. This gap inspired her to create a practice that fosters understanding and empowerment.

Men sometimes find themselves holding back their thoughts and emotions—not because they don’t want to share, but because they fear no one will truly care or understand. Jennifer was motivated to create a safe, culturally aware therapeutic space where men can openly express their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or misunderstanding.
